Medical Science Liaison

A Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a healthcare consulting specialist who is employed by healthcare companies in order to better convey complex medical ideas coupled with business prospects. They function as a link between a the healthcare organization and the medical fraternity. They also help disseminate significant medical information to the general public. As corporations start making massive financial commitments in getting new treatments to the market, Medical Science Liaisons are the most effective way of providing information about these treatments and creating awareness within the consumer market. MSL can be considered to be a spokesperson and an instructor with a touch of clinician and sales person blended in. A Medical Science Liaison travels very frequently, mainly to hospitals, medical offices and doctors.
